Countdown To Matta Fair 2016

Weehoo in two weeks time Matta Fair 2016 is back! Are you excited? I know I am #senyumlebarlebar dup dap dup dap  :) :) :) 

Sejak Matta Fair pertama yearssssss ago.. Every year it's like a routine - MATTA FAIR WAJIB PERGI! In fact I once won third price winner for Matta Fair Lucky Draw in 2012. 

Tujuan utama ke Matta Fair waktu tu.. untuk survey package Percutian Ke Mauritius. 

Selalunya we prefer to do our travel trip on our own.. Buttttttt untuk ke Mauritius tak banyak info mek jumpa online. Plus that was our first time to Africa Continent. 

Jadinya to make our journey smoother we decide on opting for travel agency arrangement instead. 

And yes where else boleh jumpa ramai-ramai travel agency at one go? Of course la Matta Fair. :) 

So after survey dan survey we came across Travel Agency 12fly Website here where we booked our Mauritius trip.

After purchasing the trip di booth 12fly - Matta Fair. I fill up the lucky draw form and submited my application di Booth Matta Fair yang disediakan. Tak lama pun. Took me about 5 min je to get the form, fill up and submit.. Lepas tu mek pulang ke rumah dengan hati membunga.. Al maklumlah baru beli package ke Mauritius :p 

Little did I expected to receive a call from Matta Fair Team a month after.. Ahmagaddddddd serious  I literally was jumping in car with excitement when I received the call that morning. Konpem neighbour kereta sebelah carutss.. Dah lah jam pepagi.. Mek senyum nak tembos tingkap kereta.. lol 

They invited me to attend the gift ceremony in KL Tower few days after. It was a simple quick event with light food prepared by the KL Tower Team before announcement as they randomly picked the lucky winner.... Yes cabutan was done live on stage..

Nerbeouss uols.. Dup dap dup dap jantung waktu tu.. And then.. They announced mine as number 3 with the prize.. Drum roll pleaseeee.. Free flight ticket for two person to any destination on Etihad Airline! Woohooooooo!!! "Terlebih dulu saya nak ucapkan terima kasih kepada ibu bapa.. suami.... yang banyak memberikan sokongan" erkkkkkk... bukan Grammy Awards eh :p

So what did we did with the free ticket won during Matta Fair Lucky Draw worth more than RM6000? Mek and hubs went for a month Euro trip! 

Walaupun cost lain seperti tempat tinggal, makan minum, perjalanan tidak disediakan.. BUT at least we saved RM6000 on flight ticket AND got to fly on Etihad the first time... Dan yes Etihad serious best!. Airline hospitality at its best!. The itinerary of the trip was ---- 

KL - London - Paris - Madrid - Barcelona - Cannes - Milan - Venice - Florence - Rome - KL

To sum it all.. We had a fab holiday on both trip - Mauritius and Europe. Thank you Matta Fair for organising such a great event annually. Now travelling worldwide made easier.. And op course for picking us as one of your Lucky Draw WInner in 2012.

Thanks to Etihad AIrline too for the amayzing ticket won! Service was top notch!

8 Reason Why I Love Being A Mom

Alarm clock is no longer needed to start the day

Waking up before the baby arrived. Snooze mode has always been on repeat buzz.. Lazy bee on weekend diary? I can't remember the last of those.. Thanks to my lil one .. Waking up is at breeze this days just remembering it's time for school.. feed.. nappy change.. or just cause... Yes some days I do wish I could sleep in a lil longer.. But then she says "Mummy.. Elmo" (my girl is crazy over the show) and flashed those smile. Seriously how can I not wanna wake up to that :)

Mama. You're the boss!

Well technically daddy is number one.. But as a mum you're always in control on WHAT, WHO, WHERE, WHY. It's just in mum's DNA to think what's best for the family.. Mama knows what not to eat to minimize gas problem... Best time for nap to ensure baby's on best mood all day... Where to buy clothes.. milk... diapers.. The cheapest! In short.. What mama says goes! Well with daddy's approval of course :) 

You're working out. Losing Kilos without even realizing!

Toddler just love to run run run.. climb and fall! With so many new sight and view to entice them.. Going out means more running, jumping and climbing! And there you are.. behind them making sure no one is hurt. Which technically mean you're running too! 80% mom I know loose more weight just by having toddler compared to signing for gym membership. Andddd to top it all.. Its Free!

OCD is no longer in you

Keeping the home in good state.. Items placed exactly where it was... Eating on  sofa Was A BIG No No!! Yes I was once difficult to pleased.. Now the rules have changed... After a long day at work and running around as mum and wife. I no longer have time to stressed over  small lil things.. Picking up and placing things only to be moved minutes later? I now have come to an agreement with my ownself..  To embrace the chaotic in life. Just so I can keep myself sane. 

Everyday is a new discovery

There's nothing bring more joy than watching lil one grow.. First teeth.. First word.. First day at school.... First smile.. First kiss and many many first memories together. Even the first poo poo! (Yes mom's love are weird like that) i never thought a simple sentence such as "yayang mummy" or "mummy amin" or a train ride could bring joy of tears.. :)

No more bad days

Even on my worst day.... When I looked  up to see my girl.. didn't take long before Ive forgotten what went wrong... Only she have that kinda superpower :) 

Life is fab!

My kid taught me to appreciate more.. Stop.. look up at the beautiful cloud... Smell the roses in the morning.. Watch the rain drops in so much awe.. Or even just pointing out to the many wonders we sometime tend to ignore.. 

Someone to love

I never knew I could love someone as much as this.. She's the fist I think in the morning and the last before bed.. Even in dreams I dream of her.. It's contagious like that... But having her bring so much joy.. Life now feels more complete :)

And that's just few top of Why I think it's awesome to be a mom! 

Yes.. Being a mom is a full time job.. But it ain't that hard either.. Just a lil adjustment here and there.. Despaired less sleep.. more running.. less me time.. multiple shouting.. multitask? Well you know mama we're good at that.:) To have them by our side somehow make life more worthwhile..

Orang kata kalau nak masak kena ada feel... Tapi kalau tak pandai macam mana? Today I shall declare I'm a newbie cook! Eh eh.. Macam ada orang kisah pula.. Reader pun sendu tapi nak declare declare.. :p

But yes... Mek memang fail masak. Especially waktu baru kahwin.. Sadis dan tragis.. Dik kerana itu lah.. I like to buy recipe books. Alhamdullilah berasap la juga dapur.. :)

So harini mek nak share my number one favorite recipe book..

Yes.. Ada 365 resepi kesemuanyaa dalam buku Chef Hanieliza ni.. Dari yang simple simple macam nasi goreng.. Sampaikan yang vavavoom untuk akak-akak yang dah expert kenyit mata je buat chicken chop :p

Part paling best tentang buku resepi ni.. Adalah the details.. Cara dan angaran bahan diberikan secara terperinci.. Hence.. Kurang sikit mek terkerut-kerut nak fikir berapa biji bawang nak masuk.. Berapa kilo udang nak masak.. Berapa sudu garam nak letak.. 

Kalau uols baru-baru nak berjinak di dapur seperti mek... 

Serious babe.. I highly recommend this book..

Hello hair...

So I got my hair re-touched today. After months of dazing with streaks of highlighted white hair. And no I didnt have that granny chic-most-sought-after-look on.. Mine was more of those uban serabut dikepalaku..

Rambut beruban

Yes...With being in my 20's have far been left behind... 

It wasn't all that bad actually. 
I still had those brown-blonde ombre on half of the other ends.. 
From my last color change some where in October last year.. 
But the set of my new grown hair is like alamak...  
depressing nye to look at. 

Nasib ada JoJo Anton our Director stylist at Hairkunst.  
One of our must-go-to-hairdresser-loved-by-owh-so-many. 
The person responsible in making this old mama relived today... 
Ehcehcehceh ;P

So after an hour and a half of hair wash,
color application, treatment and a quick blow 
by Jojo & Kak Fitri... 

Mummy all set! 

No more grey hair :)

Resepi Kari Ikan Mamak Best

Kisah Kari ikan mamak..... 


Harini tetiba rasa the crave to have some good fish curry... Selalunya kalau bercakap tentang kari ikan...  Kari Ikan Mamak pastinya antara kari terbest. Bestnya tinggal di Malayisa ni mana mana pun boleh jumpa kedai mamak yang menjual kari ikan... 

Tapi perut ni tak rasa macam nak makan kat luar pula hari ni... Tetiba feeling lain sikit... Sungguhpun tak pernah masak kari ikan sebelum ni... Hari ni terasa macam nak makan kari ikan mamak best.... TAPI yang dimasak dirumah.. hurmmmm cam mano tu...

So long story short... Godek-godek google terjumpa satu resepi kari ikan mamak yang best ni... Lepas tu godek pula peti ais.. Alaaaaa ikan pula takde... 

But its ok.. Dek kerana perasaan berkobar-kobar nakkan kari ikan mamak homecooked juga... Terkedek kedek la seorang mak budak di tengah hari minggu ke Jusco dengan misi mencari seketul ikan untuk dikorbankan menjadi Kari Ikan Mamak Best di masak dirumah.. hehe

Spotted Ikan talapia fresh dalam sangkar harga RM20 hinggit seekor. Hello Kari ikan :)

Bestnya beli ikan kat Jusco ni.. Ada pula ikan fresh dalam aquariam..... Slurppp duppp dapppp...

Selesai je beli bahan-bahan yang diperlukan kat Jusco.. Cepat-cepat I balik rumah dengan hati berkobar-kobar nak masak kari ikan best nie... hehe...

Ditambah dengan watak sampingan Telur Ikan goreng berempah  

One complete mamak nasi kandar homecooked in micasa ;)

Overall I rate 5 out of 5.... Mesti korang nyampah semacam berkali-kali mek angkat bakul kan.. Haha But serious bai! Harus cuba resepi Kari Ikan mamak akak blogger nii! Memang the bomb!! Thank you kakak share resepi best nie online.... Saya tmpang cuba dan repost ye.. :)

Kisah iphone 6.

Korang dah tengok Iphone 6 baru? Best ke? Apa feature terbaru Iphone6 ni? Berbaloi ke spend ribu raban for a new phone?!

Ish.... Makcik stress... serious stress!! All beacause I WANT ONEEEE.. Yet sadly I can't. 

Okey.. Dont get me wrong.. Im not a gadget lover ke.. Technology junkie ke... die hard fan ke! No... No... No... Nehi.. Nehi... 

BUT if you are an Iphone user like myself... Do you feel it too? Bila model Iphone baru keluar jerrr.. mesti phone jadi lagging la... hang la... Annoying the very!

I mean its already hard enough to see new advertisement of "That New IPhone6" which obviously I is cannot afford.. Running in magazine.. Newspaper.. Billboard.. Social media.. Everywhere!

And here I am.. having an old one in my hand.. Going go... goo.. ga.. gaaaa?! Ahmagadddddd rasa cam nak swimming kuak lentang je dengan handphone ni! grrrrrr... 

So ya... Motive post harini adalah to get the anger out of my system... Sorry if I had to drag you with me... It could just be me alone having this problem.. Or maybe today was just not a good day. 

Regardless till that one fine day I can finally switch to that new shiny Iphone6 and be merry... Let me sleep on it and dream on having one that would not go drain on me...

Misi menjadi bijak - Big bad wolf

Hari ni bangun pagi rasa malassssss sangat... malas nak mandi... malas nak masak... malas nak mengemas... malas nak mencuci.. tapi scroll butang phone nengok Facebook rajin pulok.. eh.. eh.. mak budak ni.. takpe la.. bukan selalu cuti panjang kan... 

So sambil-sambil tengok si sentil belajar A,B,C,D dengan bestfriendnya Monaliza... jari-jemari membusykan diri melayan Facebook... TIBA-TIBA...... Mata terbuka... tangan tergamam... mulut ternganga...

Hasil selepas 3 jam? jeng... jeng... jeng.... Gembira... Tak terkira... Super duper happy la op course!! Buku murah giler okey! Sumpah Big Bad Wolf is a must!

Tips makcik.. 

1. Pergi petang... sebab tempat tu waktu malam agak scary.. gelap sesangat... 
2. Sesuai bawa baby atau anak? Berdasarkan pengalaman harini tak ramai orang.. Mungkin sesuai tapi kalau nak tukar pampers ke menyusu ke.. iols tak sure uols.. tak perasan pula ada ke idak tadi...
3. Bila lapar ada food truck dengan harga berpatutan dan sedap di nyam nyam.. 
4. WAJIB daftar sebagai member.. Dapat additional discount. Boleh daftar secara online atau di counter waktu nak bayar.
5. Payment cash? credit? debit? Ketiga-tiga diterima.
6. Sediakan sekurang-kurangnya 2-3 jam.. Serious banyak buku!
7. Lepas dah shopping.. Bagitau cashier nak porter service.. their friendly staff akan kasi number.. bawa kereta ke tempat yang disediakan... they will help you load your new books into your car.. Convenient sungguh? suka mek!
8. WAJIB PERGI! I bought so much books for myself and si sentil cukup boleh jadi Einstein lepas setahun... :p

Question..... Dalam setahun berapa kali uols memanjakan rambut di salun rambut? Buat treatment... warnakan... luruskan.. kerinting atau sekadar wash and blow? 

Why so many question???? some must say... Macam makcik-makcik sibuk kepochi nak tahu semua kan... :) 

Well the thing is.. post harini sebenarnya adalah post promote diri sendiri.. teehaaaa

Hairkunst awalnya dimulakan oleh Bambang Soteto pada tahun 2007... 

Uniknya kisah how my partner started in this industry.. He was once a Chemical Engineer graduate turned professional hairdresser..... macam tak logic je bunynya kan... But ya.. that was the starting point...

Semuanya bermula ketika Bambang melanjutkan pelajaran di dalam bidang kejuruteraan di German where he was just a coffee boy di salun rambut di Mannheim untuk mencari duit saku lebih... Maklumlah bukan murah nak menyara diri di negara Eropah kan. Especially sebagai seorang pelajar..  

Bermula dari situ.. dek kerana kagum melihat pelanggan keluar masuk dengan rambut cantik kepok kepok.. Bambang nekad belajar cara-cara mendandan rambut daripada majikannya ketika itu.. Kicking off as an assistant... Bambang memulakan hari-hari seterusnya sebagai tukang gunting sambil-sambil menuntut di university as an engineering student... 

His journey continue apabila dinaikan pangkat ke stylist, junior stylist, senior stylist dan akhirnya sebagai trainer di beberapa salun terkemuka sekitar Eropah - Germany, United Kingdom dan Vienna. 

Berbekalkan pengalaman ini lah Bambang pulang ke tanah air dan membuka salun  Hairkunst - A German word which then translate The art of hair styling. 

10 years fast forward...Hairkunst kini berjaya menempatkan jenamanya setaraf nama-nama salun antarabangsa dengan pelangan tetap yang terdiri daripada pelbagai golongan masyarakat dan bangsa - cina, melayu, india.
